Le départ de Ken Hitchcock à Dallas pourrait avoir un impact important chez le Canadien. Le nom de Guy Carbonneau circule depuis longtemps comme celui qui prendrait sa place à Dallas mais "Carbo" soutient qu'il terminera la saison avec le tricolore.

"Il a eu une rencontre avec plusieurs joueurs jeudi et je suis convaincu qu'il tentait de remettre les choses en marche. Selon moi, il y a des gens qui ont perdu patience," a expliqué Carbonneau.

Guy Carbonneau s'est dit très surpris de congédiement de son dernier entraîneur dans la LNH. Surpris, mais en même temps, toute l'attention est sur lui puisque les rumeurs circulent depuis longtemps à l'effet qu'il allait être le prochain entraîneur des Stars. Pas cette saison selon lui. "Je vais finir l'année à Montréal. Je n'ai pas entendu parler de rien."

"Éventuellement, Guy se retrouvera entraîneur dans la ligue nationale. Il possède les qualités qu'il faut. Selon moi, il est vrai meneur d'hommes," a affirmé Michel Therrien.

Reste que Guy Carbonneau n'a toujours pas de contrat pour la prochaine saison avec le Canadien et les rumeurs vont continuer de circuler tant qu'il n'aura pas une nouvelle entente avec le tricolore.

"Même si une équipe m'avait offert un tel poste en début de saison, j'aurais dit non. Je n'étais tout simplement pas prêt à occuper ce poste. Je ne voulais pas m'embarquer dans quelque chose où je n'aurais pas été confortable," a mentionné Carbo.
