Carbo tentera de convaincre Brett Hull de venir jouer avec le Canadien

L'assistant-entraîneur du Canadien de Montréal, Guy Carbonneau, a été mandaté pour tâter le terrain auprès du joueur autonome sans restriction Brett Hull, des Stars de Dallas. Le patron du Tricolore André Savard voudrait savoir, si Hull serait disposé à poursuivre sa carrière dans l'uniforme bleu-blanc-rouge.

Savard veut savoir s'il doit investir du temps et des énergies dans ce dossier. Si Hull se dit intéressé par un séjour à Montréal, Savard pourrait entreprendre des discussions avec l'agent du Golden Brett. On sait que Guy Carbonneau a bien connu Hull, lors de son séjour avec les Stars à Dallas.

En entrevue sur les ondes de RDS, Guy Carbonneau n'a pas caché que la Canadien pourrait faire une offre à Hull. "Ça demeure toujours une possibilité. En premier lieu, il faut voir s'il veut venir jouer à Montréal pour jouer au hockey et donner son cent pour cent."

Bobby Hull, le célèbre père de Brett, a dit, "Montréal est la seule ville canadienne pour lequel Brett évoluerait". Bobby avoue que la principale raison qui pourrait amener son fils avec le Canadien est la présence de Guy Carbonneau. "Brett et Guy sont devenus de très bons amis depuis leur passage à Dallas et si Brett venait qu'à jouer pour le Canadien, ce serait en partie à cause de Carbonneau".

Montreal Canadiens Assistant Coach Guy Carbonneau has been chosen to break the ice with unrestricted free agent Brett Hull, of the Dallas Stars. Habs GM Andre Savard would like to know if Hull would be interested in continuing career wearing bleu, blanc et rouge.

Savard wants to determine if it would be worth the time and energy to pursue Hull. If he expresses interest in a stay in Montreal, Savard would undertake official discussions with Golden Brett’s agent.

Guy Carbonneau knew Hull well during his stay with the Stars in Dallas. In an interview with RDS, Guy Carbonneau did not hide that the Canadiens were thinking of making an offer to Hull. "That is always a possibility. Initially we have to see if he wants to come to play in Montreal, to play hockey and to give it a hundred percent."

Bobby Hull, Brett’s famous father, said, "Montreal is the only Canadian city to which Brett would move." Bobby acknowledges that the principal reason which could bring his son to the Canadiens is the presence of Guy Carbonneau. "Brett and Guy became very good friends during their time in Dallas and if Brett came that to play for the Canadiens, it would be largely because of Carbonneau."
