The Petition:
A One-Year Moratorium on #21

The Dallas Stars' Booster Club has sponsored a petition to place a one-year moratium on the use of the #21 by a member of the Stars. The petition will be sent to General Manager Bob Gainey, Coach Ken Hitchcock, and Team Captain Derian Hatcher, and reads as follows:

Mr. Gainey,

Although most of Guy Carbonneau's fans would love to see his number retired, we realize that the likelihood of seeing #21 hanging from the rafters is slim. Upon the request of one of our members, The Dallas Stars Booster Club has sponsored a petition to request the following: A moratorium next season on any player using Guy's number 21. The fans of Guy Carbonneau feel that he is more than deserving of such an honor.
