Carbo veut revenir...mais doit d'abord régler quelques problèmes

Chez le Canadien, on en est déjà à préparer la prochaine saison. Par le fait même, la préparation se fait également du côté des entraîneurs. Alors que Rick Green a confirmé son retour comme adjoint à Michel Therrien, le doute plane toujours quant au statut de Guy Carbonneau.

De retour d'Allemagne où il était du personnel d'entraîneurs au championnat du monde de hockey, Carbonneau s'accorde maintenant un peu de repos en profitant des vacances.

Même s'il semble déterminé à en venir à une nouvelle entente avec le Canadien, Carbonneau avoue que certains détails doivent être réglés.

"J'ai parlé avec André et Michel Therrien avant de partir. Ils m'ont fait part de leurs intentions de me ramener ici à Montréal. Je veux prendre mon temps pour voir si tout est dans l'ordre. Je voulais revenir d'Allemagne pour parler avec André afin d'essayer d'en venir à une entente. Lui il est à Québec et moi je suis ici à Montréal. On ne s'est pas rencontré encore, mais ça devrait se faire au cours des prochaines semaines. J'ai adoré l'expérience que j'ai connue l'an passé. J'ai aimé travailler avec Michel et Rick Green. Je veux travailler encore avec eux pour justement essayer de remonter le Canadien de Montréal. Il y en a qui sont au courant des problèmes que j'ai. Lorsque ce sera réglé, il n'y aura plus de problème. On va revenir...", a indiqué Carbo.

With the Canadians, preparations have already been made for next season. In fact, plans are already in place regarding the coaching staff. Whereas Rick Green has confirmed his return as assistant to Michel Therrien, the status of Guy Carbonneau continues in doubt.

Following his return from Germany, where he was on the coaching staff of the world championship of hockey, Carbonneau deserves to have a little rest during his vacation.

Even if he seems determined to come to a new agreement with the Canadiens, Carbonneau acknowledges that certain details must be settled.

"I spoke with André and Michel Therrien before leaving. They announced their intention to me to bring me back here to Montreal. I want to take my time to see whether everything is in order. I wanted to return from Germany to speak with André and try to come to an agreement. But he is in Quebec and I am here in Montreal. We haven’t met yet, but that should happen during the next few weeks. I loved the experience I had last year. I liked to work with Michel and Rick Green. I want to continue working with them to try to improve the Montreal Canadiens. There are some people who know about the problems that I have. When they are worked out, there won’t be any more problems. We’ll be back...," indicated Carbo.
